"Samothrace are a frustrating band to love. Their debut LP, 2008's Life's Trade, was a landmark of modern American doom, even if no one knew it then. Nearly an hour's worth of shifting, sludgy, atmospheric, and altogether beautiful metal was offered, and those who fell under its spell fell hard..." (Pitchfork)

REVISITING LIBRARY MUSIC

Band:ORGASMO SONORE
Album:REVISITING LIBRARY MUSIC
Label:CINEPLOIT
Format:CD
Genre:TV and MOVIE

After doing 3 albums interpreting the music of obscure soundtracks, the transition to the Library Music world was a natural one for Orgasmo Sonore. Library Music is defined as "music especially created for films, television, radio, publicity and industrial use" on the back covers of Lesiman's Here and Now Vol.1 and 2, which are amongst the most sought after LPs in this their category and selling for many hundreds of dollars, barely available on the collectors market. Indeed, there is currently a lot of enthousiasm and excitement for this music "never intended for public distribution", dug out by DJs and collectors pretending to be some kind of archeologists. It's not a surprise that the whole interest is for a period happening between 1970 and 1985 when a myriad of artists, known and unknown, contributed to label's thematic catalogs under the radar of the popular music realm. In the continuation of his work on the 3 previous records, Orgasmo Sonore is, again, acting as a curator of the obscure and unheard music, always in the right time to explore new territories. After pointing at the work of the like of Stelvio Cipriani in 2011 or Bruno Nicolai in 2013, the new "Revisiting Obscure Library Music" album offer you a carefully selected list of 12 interpretations of some of the most important composers, names like Rino de Filippi, Alessandro Alessandroni or Jean-Pierre Decerf, some of which already begin to become mystic legends of contemporary music. This is just the tip of the iceberg and we are at the beginning of measuring the contribution of Library Music to the recent musical history. This record is a prologue for these unwritten pages. The first and only tribute of its kind.

Fantastic new interpretations of library music from artists like Alessandro Alessandroni, Bruno Nicolai, Rino de Filippi, Giuliano Sorgini, Piero Umiliani, Giorgio Carnini, Lesiman, Les Baxter, J-P Decerf, G. Zadj, Sauveur Mallia, Bernard Fevre and Jacky Giordano, CD MINT PACK LTD TO x500.

PAPERMOON SESSIONS LIVE AT ROADBURN 2014

Band:PAPIR MEETS ELECTRIC MOON
Album:PAPERMOON SESSIONS LIVE AT ROADBURN 2014
Label:SULATRON RECORDS
Format:CD
Genre:Kraut / Space Rock

Sula Bassana and Komet Lulu from Electric Moon, all the guys from Papir and Mogens Deenfort from Øresund Space Collective met the second time – to play their first and exclusive live show together: The Papermoon Sessions live at Roadburn 2014. The very first time they ever played together, their studio album was born. Now, live, they played together for only the second time and it became a record, again. This is a 100% music haul from their material! The whole concert is pressed on vinyl and CD, to please the listener and also the people who could not make it to the show or the festival. Only 2 long tracks, which include all the power and love these 6 people share in a musical way. Quite emotional, very hypnotic and trance-like, the band explores the magic of musically reverse osmosis: they melted themselves down into one creature, that flooded the people with psychedelic kraut sounds.

The CD comes in digipacK, Ltd to 1000 copies. Artwork by Lulu Artwork!

LIVE AT ROADBURN FESTIVAL 2014

Band:SULA BASSANA
Album:LIVE AT ROADBURN FESTIVAL 2014
Label:SULATRON RECORDS
Format:CD
Genre:Kraut / Space Rock

Here you get the release of a one off show by Sula Bassana (who normally never plays live under his moniker), who played at the 2014 Roadburn-Festival, accompanied by a strong band! Sula Bassana is the german multi-instrumentalist Dave Schmidt. He is the guitarplayer in Electric Moon, drummer in Zone Six, Synthy- and Organ-player in Krautzone, and well known for his solo-albums, ranging from spacerock via psychedelic to krautish electronic music.

For this Roadburn concert, Sula had to create a band and the line-up is: Sula Bassana: guitars, synthesizer, mellotron, FX Komet Lulu: bass, FX Marcus Schnitzler: drums Rainer Neeff: guitar, FX

On this album you get almost the complete concert, which was a unique thing which never happened before. The music on this record became very wild and noisy! Because of the impression-overdose from the whole Roadburn-thing. The mood on stage was very expressive and psychotic, which the listener can now experience too, due to the intense live-feeling. „Into the red“ guitar-battles, full of fuzz, tremolo and wahwah, powered by a massive bass and drum section, spiced with some Synthesizer and Mellotron sounds. Only one song from older Sula albums appears: Dark Days. But here in a extended version with some improvised parts! The album got mastered by krautrock-legend EROC. And the wonderfully psychedelic cover artwork is done by Lulu Artwork! (Komet Lulu). CD comes in jewelcase.

THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE SKY

Band:EARTHMASS/OLD MAN LIZARD
Album:THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE SKY
Label:ALONE RECORDS
Format:VINYL 7"
Genre:Stoner/Doom/Occult/Sludge Metal

East England's Sudbury-Braintree-Colchester geographic triangle seems to have become a hive of the underground music scene in the past years. Many of the names of the bands are heard by word of mouth, gaining strength with each show played and each recordind released. There is a undeniable characteristic vibe in the sound of the tines manufactured by there artists that proves we are witnessing the spring of a self branding scene.

Two examples are Sudbury's one of a kind Old Man Lizard and Braintree's breathtakingly captivating Earthmass, who decided to join together in 'Through the Hole in the Sky'. Made up of Jack Newnham (also of Meadows – Superfi Records, Head of Crom Records), Gav Senior and Ban Beales; Old Man Lizard are a power trio in the same vein as Cream or Blue Cheer, but the influence of contemporary band from Taint to Yawning Man set Old Man Lizard apar from the often crowded and unvaried sludge and stoner scenes. Not content to retread the same old tired ground, Old Man Lizard make exciting and original heavy music without compromising the art of the riff.

Earthmass is a four piece from Essex, South-East England. The line up consists of Chris and Rob Saunders, Chris Houghton and Jack Burley, who took a break from previous band Another Dead Hero, before deciding to go back to basics and start from scratch. Earthmass achieves a improvisational and instinctive style along the lines of psychedelic doom rock, tainted with heavy riffs and a unique brand of atmospheric builds ups, volume and jams to make huge sounds and movements.

7'' clear vinyl / limited edition

COLLAPSE - LP.

Band:EARTHMASS
Album:COLLAPSE - LP.
Label:ALONE RECORDS
Format:VINYL LP
Genre:Stoner/Doom/Occult/Sludge Metal

Earthmass has truly made a breakthrough with Collapse . Distorted guitars of captivating density knitted together with textured arrangements and surrounding vocals that will plunge you into a gravity driven journey. We are witnessing a work with an exceptional potential that could take it to make the top lists of post-rock, progressive psychedelic and doom metal related albums of 2015

“Collapse” is a journey into the void comprising four slabs of galactic psychedelic rock, boasting levels of low-end likely to induce a strong gravitational pull. Another excellent release from Earthmass that continues to develop their vast sonic prowess and deserves to make them a big name in the UK metal scene." - The Sludgelord
