The 2014 release of the album 'Of Things Seen & Unseen' marks a new beginning for Serpent Venom.
Conceived in 2008, Serpent Venom, hailing from London and Hertfordshire, brought their brand of 70's tinged, traditional heavy doom to a wide audience across the UK, receiving high praise for debut album 'Carnal Altar' and their live shows. Upon the departure of Pete Fox, Serpent Venom enlisted guitarist Roland Scriver, (Sloth, End of Level Boss) and toured hard across the British Isles and Europe. With a ferocious live presence and thunderous volume, the band continued to cement their reputation as a live act playing with the likes of Trouble, Pentagram, Conan, Black Magician, Goatess and Bast, all whilst honing the riffs for the second album.
'Of Things Seen & Unseen' was recorded at Skyhammer Studio in October 2013 with Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, Conan, Capricorns, Taint, Coltsblood, Bast) at the helm. It is the first recording to feature guitarist Roland Sc river and marks a song writing approach that came straight out of the jam room and involved the whole band.

The book is a landscape block of 210mm by 161mm with a spine of 6.85mm. The book is bound in buckram and litho printed in full colour with metallic ink. The cardboard slipcase is also printed with a design in metallic ink. The images inside the book are also full colour, the band photograph a black and silver duotone.
The booklet contains a series of abstracted images set beside the printed lyrics marking an imagined metaphoric metaphysical path through the door. Some images have greater abstraction than others but should be seen alongside the songs they reflect or represent. They are not pure illustrations as they do not paint a clear picture. The images use symbols, composition colour and shape to interpret a perceived meaning or aspect of within the lyrical content.

Purple Hill Witch was summoned out of the norwegian countryside for about three years ago. The young trio (who's members are also to be found in Spectral Haze, Condor and Flight) are under heavy influence of bands such as Pentagram, Witchfinder General and Black Sabbath, complimented by the filthiness of old heavy- and thrash- metal bands from the 70's and 80's. After spending their first couple of years playing alongside many great bands in Oslo's shady basements, they crossed the norwegian border for the first time this november, as they hit the european roads together with the doom legends of Lord Vicar. The 7"-vinyl entitled "Alchemy" is their only official release so far, but the band has recently been in the studio finishing up their first full length album, which is expected to finally surface in the early parts of 2014.

Beelzefuzz is a heavy rock trio from North East MD formed in 2009. Releasing a 4 song demo in 2010 they established a loyal fan base in the DE, MD, PA area that eventually led to signing with Germany's very prestigious Church Within records in 2012. Beelzefuzz incorporates a very unique style of heavy music similar to the classic sounds of early 70's bands such as Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Black sabbath as well as contemporary acts Pentagram, Graveyard and Earthride. Still Beelzefuzz remain decidely independent with their own personal brand of melodic heavy rock and the David Byron, John Lawton crossed with Mark Farner vocal stylings of singer and guitarist Dana Ortt shine through beautifully in songs such as "Lotus Jam", "All the Feeling Returns", "Reborn" and the haunting "Hypnotize". Dana Ortt along with bassist Pug Kirby were joined by drummer Darin McCloskey (Pale Divine) in 2011 and entered the studio again to record a new four song demo. Sparking quite a bit of label interest they secured the deal with The Church Within records and are set to release their first self titled album via the label in 2013.

We worked to try to open a portal to dream, nostalgia, a deeper yearning for our roots and the joy that comes from finding your place in the universe. We hoped to be able to help tell Justin's story in as humble and honest way we could and to find a musical voice to his character's inner emotions and journey."

Their downtuned metal is bleak and nearly unbearably heavy in its execution, dark and soul-searching in its themes, intertwining faster bursts of chaos with slow, doomy passages.Rippikoulu released the Musta Seremonia demo album on tape in 1993 and then disappeared. They never gained much popularity in their time, but their legacy has steadily grown.

The Delegators play rocksteady, ska and early reggae, with hints of Motown and 60s soul. To get an idea of the Delegators' sound, imagine the Supremes moved to Kingston via South London. They've shared bills with reggae legends and acts as diverse as The Pioneers, Dave Barker, Pat Kelly, Doreen Shaffer, The Nextmen, Hepcat and The English Beat. The Delegators kicked off the 2012 International Ska Festival in London with a bang, have performed four times at the Glastonbury Festival (including an opening slot for Lady Gaga!) and featured on Mark Lamarr's 'God's Jukebox' on Radio 2.

The brand new 45 from Unc 'n' Chunk is a typically light and shade affair. "Barefoot In The Car Park"—a drivin', hip shakin', un-sit-down-able piece of ass-kickery which has Suzi Chunk and the boys working on all cylinders—could easily become part of the soundtrack to the summer of 2014 or even some hitherto unreleased movie. Swinging jungle drums nail the whole thing to the floor courtesy of garage/beat legend Bruce Brand (who also provides a blistering lead guitar). Surf is most definitely up!
Flip side "Wet Weekend" takes us to a darker but no less cinematic place where clouds descend for approximately 4 glorious minutes and we bask in isolated reflection. Beautifully plaintive guitar work from Ben Jones, astonishingly majestic drum and bass playing from Mole, lead vocals and a wonderfully audacious melodica solo (!) from songwriter Glenn Prangnell will leave you breathless. Not bad for a B-side!

Bridge Carols, the 2010 project from Portland, OR friends Laura Gibson and Ethan Rose, takes the listener to a place that exists between the notes and behind the words of modern music. Bridge Carols began as a conversation of mutual appreciation and curiosity - a shared desire to challenge old ways of working. Ethan had mostly distanced his music from words, while Laura had often felt bound by them. They began work on Bridge Carols by experimenting with different methods of collaboration. Inspired by Laura's voice, Ethan began building soundscapes, while Laura looked through piles of notebooks, coming across old phrases, improvising lyrics and wordless vocalizations, stream of consciousness singing. Ethan then took the recorded words and vocalizations from these sessions - cutting them into bits and pieces - rearranging and juxtaposing them against each other to stretch them into new musical poems. The resulting pieces developed into songs. The songs developed into Bridge Carols, a record of deep atmosphere and an almost sublingual resonance.
