Colorama is based around the talents of multi-instrumentalist-singer-songwriter Carwyn Ellis, a much in demand musician who has in the past worked with Oasis and Edwyn Collins amongst others.

A spell studying music at The Royal Academy was following by the release of his first mini-LP, The Magic Lantern Show in 2009, a record which picked up considerable support from 6Music, Radio 1 & 2 and XFM; this was quickly followed by his first full-length effort, Box, the following year. From the Austrian Alps to the United Kingdom, from Japan to Germany to Iceland and back through Europe, Clues is the debut album of self-styled noisepop cosmopolitan Bensh... and the sum of a six year expedition to some of the most ecclectic places in pop. Born in Innsbruck, Austria, Bensh studied composition in the UK in 2004. After a period of extensive songwriting and subsequent recording sessions with Dan Swift (Snow Patrol, Art Brut) and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes), he embarked on a cultural exchange to Osaka, Japan. Since returning to Europe, Bensh lived and worked in Germany, UK, Austria and Iceland, where the final mix of Clues was completed with Biggi Birgisson (Sigur Rós). The track Doubt has received massive airplay in central Europe earlier this year, the new single How Come Nao is already receiving airplay in Austria and Germany.
On stage, Bensh is joined by virtuoso synth-wizard Sion Trefor from Cardiff/UK and Bensh’s multi-instrumentalist brother Sevo. After a number of shows in Austria and Germany, the formation just brought their blend of catchy noise-pop to the US and Canada for the first time. Bensh’s debut Clues is out in several European territories.

This release sees Chuck covering songs from 3 of his close friends, Helen Chambers, Darren Gibson and Leatherface.
Sam Russo's a singer / songwriter from Cambridgeshire with a gruff voice and some seriously heartfelt songwriting. Just finished a full UK tour alongside Crazy Arm.
Jimmy Islip's a West Yorkshire man with a large Billy Bragg, Joe Strummer influence. When not playing solo Jimmy's busy as frontman for punk rock band The Magnificent as well as playing drums for That F*cking Tank and Milloy.
Helen Chambers is a singer / songwriter and mother of 2 currently living in York. Her music is heavily influenced by traditional English folk music and American country. Chuck Ragan covers her song “Steven Patrick” on this release.

It is no coincidence that this evolution of Dream Affair’s sound corresponds with the addition of Abby Echiverri (synths/vocals) and Frank Deserto (bass). Their debut full-length album perfects the cold dichotomy: the conflict and balance between bleak indifference and struggling emotions. Romanticism in the vocals and guitars are vetted against the industrial chill of the rhythm section. The result is a testament of self-awareness, absurdity, and isolation.

They soon share stages in venues such as the Hmv Forum (London), Thekla (Bristol), Point Ephèmere (Paris)...and go on to record this great album.

It might be easy to think of Eden Rose as simply a first version of famed French progressive band Sandrose. Both bands had the same musicians; both existed at nearly the same moment in time (c. 1970). But Eden Rose is now seen, quite rightly, as something unique, a chimera from the misty past, a time during which the winds of change were blowing on the fixed universe of music. Rules were blown away, stagnant structures were swept aside, and musical conventions emancipated, this freshness and spontaneity the essence of a style that hadn’t yet been formalised. - The result was this batch of psych-inspired, decidedly grooving, upbeat instrumental tracks, with wailing (at times) fuzzed-out guitar and distinguished Hammond organ aplenty, over driving beats. A unique sound: brilliant, bright, and singing from the first note to the last. And man, if my ears don’t deceive me, the main theme from ‘Walking In the Sea’ (before it spins off into Jimi Hendrix territory) sure sounds like a lovely jazzy riff on Serge Gainsbourg’s ‘Je t'aime... moi non plus,’ which had been released the year before this album hit the racks. Two bonus tracks are from the band’s only single that contained non-LP tracks. Booklet has the band’s story in English and French, and is printed on FSC recycled, chlorine-free, 100% post-consumer fiber paper, manufactured using biogas energy.

The career of MYTHOS been similar to that of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, also from West Berlin. They also began working as a rock band in the line up of guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals. Even as they released their first record on the cult label OHR, and they later switched from rock to Electronic music. After 1979, mastermind Stephan Kaske continued as a soloist under the name of MYTHOS and is even today still successful with his synthesizers on the road.
At the gig in Stagge's Hotel in Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen in March 1976 MYTHOS was still fully in the Krautrock element. The songs of the then fresh album "Dreamlab" formed the foundation, plus additional titles that should never make it to one of the studio albums. They can be heard here for the very first time. Stephan Kaske was even amazed when he learned of the existence of the tape recordings, but agreed after careful listening with a publication. A truly wise decision!

With these words the trio of FRANZ K.( Mick Hannas (guitar), Peter Josefus (bass, vocals) and Stefan Josefus (drums) ) brought it to the point and earned a loyal fan base in Germany. On the road since 1969 the power trio made evey concert into a happening. "We want to ensure that you listen to us, thinking about our lyrics and maybe do something." These were the Seventies!
Following the debut album "Senseman", "Rock in Deutsch" (Rock in German) was published in 1973 by Zebra. With the hearse, which adorns the front cover of the album, Franz K. was constantly on the road in Germany. Similar to its British counterpart, the Edgar Broughton Band, social criticism was packed in German texts. The band shot agains militarism, consumer greed, injustice in the workplace and met precisely the taste of students and apprentices then. Today you have to smile quietly over the choice of words, then the band was so far forward and was one of the most popular live bands.

Jardine’s album was recorded in three glorious weeks in June 1969, at Sounds Aquarian Studios, a stone’s throw from that justifiably famous fashion hub, Carnaby Street. The sessions were fun. Polydor was supposed to release the album. Musicians dropped in to say "hello" and ended up on the record (uncredited)—among them Peter Frampton, Andrew "Andy" Bown (Herd and Status Quo), and Brian Appleyard (drummer from East of Eden). Singer Mickey Cox had been in Robert Plant’s pre-Led Zeppelin group The Band of Joy—it was Cox, in fact, who became their singer when Plant left the band. But suddenly, thanks to band management problems, the LP was shelved. Keith Law, who had written all of the songs, joined Velvett Fogg for their only album, and Jardine was forgotten. Now, forty years later, you can be among the first to discover the brooding excellence of these tracks, music both strange and sinister, with moments of fragile beauty. There are some very pretty songs here (haunting melodies abound), but there is no escaping the dark side of life (‘Masochists of Strangulation,’ ‘Execution of the Child,’ and the monumental dirge ‘Blackbirds of Jardine’, which tells of self-same birds, and the fact that they will “destroy you, and leave you pain, pain, pain”), songs perhaps more akin to the band Comus than to anything else we have encountered from the psychedelic era. There are heavy guitar solos, churning organ, flute, and flowing sitar for good measure. A 16-page booklet includes a band history lyrics, and comments on the songs by Keith Law. A lost jewel of late-1960's UK psychedelia, from a short-lived but charismatic band!

DO OR DIE has always been a live band. Formed in 1999 and led by their founder/singer Chris, DO OR DIE always felt comfortable on stage, no matter if it was at the big European festivals, opening for bands such as Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, Pro-Pain and Biohazard or in front of 100 kids in a club, they always put out the same energy as if it was their first show. After the first 7 inch EP "Tears of Rage" (500 copies sold in less than a month) got released, they immediately started playing shows non-stop all over Benelux and France. 2004 saw them return with a new line-up and the loudest comeback imaginable, when they played Pressure Fest, Graspop and Fury Fest on the same weekend. "Tradition" got recorded around that time too and was released in 2005, marking their first effort for Alveran Records and the start of their cooperation with M.A.D. Tourbooking, both of which opened the doors to Germany for the band. Touring and endless promoting across Germany, Holland, Poland, Sweden, and well known festivals like the Dour Fest, Pressure Fest, With Full Force and even the Superbowl of Hardcore in New York opened them the door to the whole world………

Bosse-de-Nage is a reclusive four piece black metal entity from the San Francisco Bay Area who have an affinity for the bizarre and would rather keep their identities their own. They formed in 2006, recorded two demos and released a self-recorded full length in 2010 on The Flenser.
