Beelzefuzz is a heavy rock trio from North East MD formed in 2009. Releasing a 4 song demo in 2010 they established a loyal fan base in the DE, MD, PA area that eventually led to signing with Germany's very prestigious Church Within records in 2012. Beelzefuzz incorporates a very unique style of heavy music similar to the classic sounds of early 70's bands such as Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Black sabbath as well as contemporary acts Pentagram, Graveyard and Earthride. Still Beelzefuzz remain decidely independent with their own personal brand of melodic heavy rock and the David Byron, John Lawton crossed with Mark Farner vocal stylings of singer and guitarist Dana Ortt shine through beautifully in songs such as "Lotus Jam", "All the Feeling Returns", "Reborn" and the haunting "Hypnotize". Dana Ortt along with bassist Pug Kirby were joined by drummer Darin McCloskey (Pale Divine) in 2011 and entered the studio again to record a new four song demo. Sparking quite a bit of label interest they secured the deal with The Church Within records and are set to release their first self titled album via the label in 2013.

The Martha’s Vineyard Ferries is a rock band featuring Elisha Wiesner (Kahoots) on guitar, Bob Weston (Shellac, Volcano Suns, Mission of Burma) on bass guitar, and Chris Brokaw (Come, Codeine, The New Year) on drums. Their new record, Mass. Grave will be released on October 14, 2013 on Africantape. The band – and more specifically, the band name - began as a kind of gag between friends. “Elisha and I were just hanging around talking about having a band and we were coming up with ridiculous names,” Weston said. “At first, I don’t think we really thought it would happen. But after awhile we were like, ‘Hey, should we really do this?’ Who would be the drummer?’ and Elisha immediately said, ‘Brokaw’.”
What began as a hypothetical joke between friends, quickly resulted in some pretty incredible actual music in the form of their debut EP In The Pond (2010, Sick Room Records). As one might expect, you can hear elements of all the other bands Chris, Bob and Elisha are involved in, but ultimately, the Ferries’ music is truly its own thing.
On Mass. Grave, the trio has developed its sound even further - though it's a sound that might be a bit hard to describe. “I think I said something like Minor Threat crossed with ‘Eight Miles High’ by The Byrds,“ Wiesner said. “But of course we sound nothing like that. Our “sound” just happens to be what it sounds like when we all play together.”

Giving birth to the first self-titled album “Lonesome Southern Comfort Company” (published in August 2008, On The Camper Records). A country-folk rush just in time for a political “outing” a couple of months before the 2008 U.S. elections. Afterwhich, as all structures take form, LSCC completed itself with the arrival of Duke (drums), Abraham (guitar) and Boris (viola).
In 2010 LSCC released “Charles The Bold” – a combination of alternative- americana- indie-rock and history. The album was inspired by Charles le Téméraire, duke of Burgundy and his battles against the Swiss in 1477 (sound cool? well it is.). With this album the band began touring Europe seriously and matured into an acid-psychedelic live performance.
Now, this Autumn: “The Big Hunt”. The release is scheduled for September 30th 2013 in Europe (October 30th 2013 in the UK). The new 9-track album is a combination of alternative-country folk with electronic influences. Loyal history traveling through the air with recorded memoirs and daring tales. LSCC will be touring “The Big Hunt” this fall across Europe (Spain, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and in November they’ll hit the UK for the first time. Beware.

‘Sera’ is a singer/songwriter from the North Wales town of Caernarfon who has been weaving stories and making music ever since she can remember. Sera will release her self titled EP after receiving great support from BBC Radio Wales for her track ‘Fireworks’ as well as support from Tom Robinsons (BBC6 Music) Fresh on the Net team.
Late in 2012, Sera opened for a sold out Mumford & Sons gig and played at the ‘Access all Eireas’ gig in North Wales. Sera has also played two-small tours of America, concentrating her efforts on linking Boston and Wales-based musicians. Other recent gigs include include ‘Huw Stephens Presents’ at The London Welsh club.
Melody from ‘Sera’ was recently used in an advert for a clothes brand sold via Ann’s Cottage in Cornwall, this will be promoted via their online networking sites reaching an audience of 15k plus followers.

Seremonia comes from Finland, plays heavy psychedelic rock and sings in their native language. Their eponymous debut album was released by Svart Records in 2012. Since then, the band has played their creepy brand of psych rock on very different venues, be it small punk rock dives or bigger festivals like Finland's Tuska, Denmark's Heavy Days in Doomtown or Holland's Roadburn.
On their sophomore album ihminen (finnish for human) the band both continues the primitive pounding of their eponymous debut and expands their trademark sound into more epic directions. Seremonia's influences still come from the most psyched out acid vinyls the 60's, 70's and 80's have to offer. On ihminen, the influence of old finnish punk and prog rock is more audible than before.The 2010's may have more than it's share of Black Sabbath -influenced retro rock bands, but Seremonia stands out from the crowd just by naturally sounding a few notches more creepy and weird than your average hippie doomsters.

German Underground Metal Titans ATLANTEAN KODEX have returned from obscurity to redefine Epic Metal with their long-awaited second album, titled „The White Goddess - A grammar of poetic myth“. The White Goddess‘ is a triumph of heaviness and melancholy, a monument to the spirit of underground metal and the mythology of old Europe.“, says drummer Weiss. „Our sound has grown darker and heavier, like the world has grown darker and heavier in the past few years. Indeed the band has progressed much since their debut effort „The Golden Bough“. The sound is more mature, more dramatic, more bombastic. Everything on the album spells HUGE in capital letters. While the key coordinates old Manowar (Ross the Boss-era), Bathory (Twilight-era) and obscure US Metal (Fates Warning, Cirith Ungol, Warlord...) are still dominant, the band has manage to explore new ground with „The White Goddess“. This is one of the few albums, which will leave noone cold.

“Beyond the Martyrs”, ARGUS third full length album, starts where their 2011’s release “Boldly Stride the Doomed” had left us -at the Ruins of Ouroboros. CINEMA is the current project of Jürgen "Pöngse" Krutzsch, who already was a well-known Krautrock size with his band TIBET in the Seventies. Each title tells you in advance what it is and what musical elements are used. African, Oriental and rock rhythms, with organs, choirs, guitars - aplenty of synthesizers and sequencers. For the very first time on 180 gram heavy-weight vinyl in a 2LP set! “Stampede” from 1990 by KROKUS, the most successful Swiss Rock band of all times!
When with Marc Storace, Chris von Rohr and Mark Kohler three long-standing members had left the Swiss metal band KROKUS, it was 1990 Fernando von Arb along with singer Peter Tanner, the two guitarists Many Maurer and Tony Castell and drummer Peter "Rabbitt" Haas to create a new KROKUS team. For this, the guitarist for years von Arb even moved to the four-string, wrote most of the songs and produced the album "Stampede" in the domestic Pink-Studio in Solothurn. And it worked unbelievably well, at least musically. The band made a real goal! "Stampede" meant a return of KROKUS to the times of their monster hit "Headhunter". Especially the title track but also anthems like "Rock'n'Roll Gypsy" or "Shotgun Boogie" came to be in the best band tradition.
An now - “Stampede” by KROKUS for the first time on 180 gram vinyl.

Rick Shea is a solo artist, guitarist and songwriter who’s known for his own albums and for his work with Dave Alvin and other notable artists. Sweet Bernardine , his 8th album, is a collection of Shea’s own stories and stories of California and beyond. The arrangements are spare and simple, based on acoustic guitar, accordion or mandolin, and drums, but he does pull out the telecaster on a few. The songs reflect the folk, country, rock and Mexican influences Shea grew up with, as he lets the songs find their own settings. “If I had to compare myself I would say that, when I was younger Merle Haggard cast a long shadow, but since then Dave Alvin, Jim Ringer and a lot of other music has found its way in.”

The Starfolk makes melody-rich chamber pop music that rocks in front man Brian Tighe's quintessentially ethereal way. The Japanese term ‘ukiyo,’ translated as ‘the floating world,’ was used to describe the pleasure seeking urban culture of Edo Japan. When alternately rendered as ‘sorrowful world’ the term took on Buddhist connotations, indicating the transitory nature of human experience, the ephemerality of existence. These two seemingly opposed yet sympathetic concepts have always heavily informed the music of The Floating World and each album has been created with these as central themes. Named for a novel by William Morris, The Wood Beyond the World is The Floating World’s latest album and an attempt to capture the journey from the mundane to the illusory made by the novel’s protagonist – a journey that reflects the hunt for the temporal and intangible the band’s name intimates. With the addition of Neddal Ayad (guitar; Desolation Singers/Great Attractor) and Grey Malkin (drones, bells, piano; The Hare and the Moon), as full members who have brought additional nuance to the music, this ambition is more fully realized. Amanda’s delicate, melancholy flute parts now weave in and out of Neddal’s hazy guitar and Grey’s eerie and dissonant accompaniments – the whole underpinned by various rough field recordings used to compliment and counterpoint the music. Roy Felps (Korperschwache) also guests on the album, adding drifting acoustic guitar to a song. Amanda has also collaborated with Lacus Somniorum, New Rosen Throne, Far Black Furlong, Dodson and Fog, The Joy of Nature and The Hare and the Moon. She and Neddal have another band together, Secrets to the Sea, as well.

"During a long trip to India some years ago the idea grew to compose a whole album focussing on the darkest of the ages in Hindu mythology, the Iron Age or Kali Yuga. I instinctively felt that this would serve as a great metaphor for current crisis in the world, a time of corruption, decline and war. This concept also allowed me to dive even deeper into shamanistic ritual sounds than before and to create a multi-layered and transcultural musical metaphor. This album is more achaic, drum driven and spiritual than all things I created earlier. And I was happy enough to collaborate with talented people for this monumental effort, especially German ambient artist M. M. Ra. as well as the ambituous artcore-guitarist Patrick Kilian of the German post-punk-band Rome Asleep. ‘Kali Yuga’, a work in progress for three years, aims to go beyond the boundaries of apocalyptic ambience and may be seen as modern aural shamanism." Two years in the making, ‘I Cannot Tell You Where I am Until I Love You’ is the first release on Alrealon by Anthony Donovan. Combining spoken word with scenes culled from an involved admix of musique concrete, electro-acoustic and industrial, the album takes the listener through a complex series of dissociated communications, where attempts at congress and connection are stymied by language itself, with all signs failing to signify. An alienated love story of sorts is voiced by protagonists Bryan Lewis Saunders, Michael Holloway, Pixyblink, Jaan Patterson and Jo Pearson; each being asked, during the initial creative process, to perform their characterisations in isolation, with no inkling of the final project. In similar fashion, Donovan invited improvisers like Stephen Flinn, Antonio de Braga, Zafer Aracagok and Adrian Beentjes to react to certain concepts, instructions and suggestions. The results of these experiments were added to Donovan’s own material, and worked into a single albumlength, thematic composition. Donovan is an artist, musician, composer, improviser and writer based in England. He works solo, either as Murmurists or under his own name, and is associated with projects such as Destroyevsky, Ou_pi Golgotha.undead, Ampersand, the.clinamen and Spidey Agutter. An ardent collaborator, he has worked with the likes of John Zorn, Jochen Arbeit, Geoff Leigh, PAS, Steve Beresford and Damo Suzuki. Donovan co-curates the respected labels Classwar Karaoke and suRRism-Phonoethics with Jaan Patterson. His interests are all either obscure or opaque, but morally authentic.

Our three bearded bespectacled go celebrate the new year 2010 in a secluded cabin, alone, with a few microphones and mountains to witness. A week later, their first EP was recorded 5 songs catchy, between math-rock dancefloor turmoil and spontaneity. They pass through this hard to chain tours across Europe, in places as diverse a squat / skate park in Slovenia, the window of a building in the chic boulevard Rivoli in Paris, an abandoned bunker in snow, Germany, but also very beautiful venues like the Trabendo, the Work of Hands, the FMR point or the Black Ball. Now they are releasing a second album on Head Records.

After years of contemplation, Civil Protection decided to flesh out the skeleton of an idea that was ‘Stolen Fire’. Taking inspiration from the pain of losing a close family member, Civil Protection captured the morbid solemnity that looms in a situation like that without losing the energy of their personality. When the lyrics were taken to Civil Protection studio session that all the pieces fell into place and ‘Stolen Fire’ was born. Drums from Kenny Skey built urgency and a sense of tension, a euphoric bass line in its final moments from Phillip Birch, complex guitar riffs from Adam Fielding and a haunting tremolo lead from Nathan Bradely all came together to create ‘Stolen Fire’. In turn, the final version of ‘Stolen Fire’ inspired the sound that is now widely associated with Civil Protection which lead to the album being named after the track.

Melbourne, Australia's formidable black metal entity Loss Of Self has teamed up with avant-garde metal label, The Flenser to release an EP entitled Twelve Minutes. Twelve Minutes is the post-black metal outfit's follow-up to highly acclaimed 2012 debut demo, available worldwide on September 2, 2013. 12 Minutes features six brand new songs as well as remastered versions of the original three demo tracks clocking in at just under 30 minutes. The dark, sweeping soundscapes realized by members Jacob, Rohan, Thomas, and Michael exhibit a coherence of post-rock and twisted black metal that surpasses all musical boundaries and restrictions. The artwork for Twelve Minutes was conceived and illustrated by the band. Loss Of Self began mid 2012 in Melbourne, Australia as a self-contained two person group. Upon the completion of the 2012 demo, the band grew into what is now the full line-up featured on the 12 Minutes EP.

This is the story of an album that refuses to die, no matter what. This is the story of MASTER‘s doomed-from-the-start first attempt at recording a full-length… See, when the band (then already led by Paul Speckmann on bass and vocals and completed Chris Mittleburn on guitar and Bill Schmidt on drums) had signed with legendary US company COMBAT RECORDS on December 31st, 1984, the plan was to get into the studio asap in order to lay on tape whatever material the band had in store back then, including „Mangled Dehumanization“ and „Re-Entry and Destruction“ recorded with DEATHSTRIKE few months prior. Having recently lost his father, Speckmann vowed to invest all the money he got from the inheritance and the band locked themselves up in Seagrape studio. Alas, soon disagreements rose with COMBAT and in the middle of the session, their recording contract was cancelled, leaving them no choice but to abort the whole project after seven tracks had been recorded.
Although the result was never officially released until much later, rough mixes soon circulated through the tape-trading circuit, making a huge impression on many future big names of the genre, like Mick Harris from NAPALM DEATH, Bill Steer of CARCASS fame, Nicke Andersson from NIHILIST/ENTOMBED and so on. Even if most of those tracks were re-recorded five years later for MASTER‘s proper debut album, many fans still hold those original and raw versions as the ultimate MASTER recording. Regardless of the fact that these songs have been issued officially twice on CD - ten years ago by DISPLEASED RECORDS as ‚Unreleased Album‘ and earlier this year by VIC RECORDS, this time around they are being released under the new moniker ‚Unknown Soldier‘ with an exclusive cover done by Mark Riddick.

Project born in 2011, october, by an idea of Peso (Necrodeath’s drummer) with Pier Gonella (Necrodeath and Mastercastle guitarist), which have to play a revisited, personal and heavy version of the hystorical Pink Floyd’s album «The dark side of the moon». Both musicians are very closed to this album, so they started to rehearsing and re‐arranging some parts of it. First tracks which came out from rehearsal room were «Us and them» and «Time». Then these tracks were performed on vocal parts by Giorgia Gueglio (Mastercastle’s vocalist) and Zanna (ex‐Sadist, Raza de Odio’s vocalist). Also Mastercastle and Athlantis bass player Steve Vawamas was involved in this project, and Andrea Vulpani completed the line up on hammond. The whole project has been completely arranged and recorded at Musicart music school and studio recordings, in Rapallo, Genova, Italy. Founded by Pier Gonella in 2011. All musicians involved in MUSICART Project, are music teachers inside the school. This recording, revisited in a more heavy way is called «The black side of the moon».
