In 1967, the already legendary guitarist Mike Bloomfield left the Paul Butterfield Blues Band to form the Electric Flag. Along with Barry Goldberg, Buddy Miles, Nick Gravenites and Harvey Brooks the band’s mission was to perform “American Music”. The and made their public debut at the legendary Monterrey Pop Festival in June 1967 and released their debut album in March 1968. The horn infused hard bluesy rock played by Electric Flag was shortly followed by Blood Sweat and Tears, Chicago and others as a new stylistic fusion.
Erma Franklin, Aretha’s older sister, was a fine soul singer in her own right, best known for recording Piece of My Heart which was later covered by Janis Joplin. This concert, recorded at San Francisco’s legendary Carousal Ballroom in April of 1968 features the band alone and backing Erma through a generous set of tunes sure to please rock, blues and soul fans everywhere.

Britt Rönnholm (vocals) and Anders Hakanson (guitar and keyboard), aka Us and Them, have released a succession of beautiful EPs for the Fruits de Mer and Ritual Echo labels. They debuted with the CD ‘Based on a True Story’ issued in 2008 on their own label Withdrawn Recordings. In 2010 they came to the attention of Fruits de Mer Records who issued their first vinyl EP, ‘Julia Dream’ which received glowing reviews in Mojo and Record Collector. Another Fruits de Mer EP ‘Summerisle’ followed and in 2012 Ritual Echo Records released their first EP of original songs ‘Walk Light’. On September 11th, 2015, the band release the album track "Cursed Wolf" as a single on a silver foil stamped 7" flexi disc (also carrying a demo version of the very same song). MYTHRA are one of the most mystical British Heavy Metal bands, and their recent reunion was a major event for many NWoBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) fans around the globe. Their name is respected as names of acts such as DIAMOND HEAD or ANGEL WITCH, and their legendary debut EP from 1979, titled "The Death And Destiny", has cult status comparable to IRON MAIDEN and their "The Soundhouse Tapes". The band disappeared in 1981, but managed to leave great legacy, which inspired and still inspire Metal bands all over the world, and it's no big secret that even members of METALLICA used to list MYTHRA as one of their favorite bands.
On November 30, 2015, MYTHRA will release the "Warriors Of Time: The Anthology" compilation via Skol Records. The limited edition album will include all classic MYTHRA tracks from 1979 through to the early '80s, plus five brand new songs written and recorded in 2015, after their reunion. The album will be remastered by Bart Gabriel (SATAN'S HOST, CRYSTAL VIPER, SACRED STEEL), and will feature the original song titles for the first time, as the famous "Death And Destiny LP" compilation, released back in 1998, had incorrect titles on several of the songs. The booklet accompanying the album will include lyrics to all songs, as well as tons of previously unseen photographs from the '70s and early '80s. The album's artwork was painted by Italian artist Roberto Toderico, who has worked previously with other NWOBHM acts including TYGERS OF PAN TANG and QUARTZ.

Eric "Ike" Baestlein, the main-man behind Blind Legion, Lost Breed and Cardiac Noose, dug deep on his personal vault and discovered this precious gem for all the old school Doom fans! After Wino left the band in 1989 and Gary Tocco (Blind Legion singer) joined briefly the band, they recorded songs for the Desert Fox/No Hope single plus some more songs that would be for the supposed first Lost Breed album. The tape was shelved and forgotten after they found a permanent singer and got a deal with Hellhound Records in 1993 for their first album "The Evil Between you and me". These 12 songs include not only the 1989 self released 7" songs but the Wino Daze demo songs with different lyrics sung by Tocco, except two of them by another singer who was with the band for a short time only. Some of these songs were later reworked with different lyrics for the debut Hellhound album. Needless to say, this is the best period of the band and a must-have in any decent Doom Metal collection!

Out of Rapid City in South Dakota, from the ashes of the defunct band Whitewing (one very rare album much desired in Prog collectors circles), came ASIA, which recorded two independently released albums in 1979 and 1980 respectivelly. The band gained some momentum for a while, opening for major acts like Nazareth, Ted Nugent, Kiss, Molly Hatchet, etc. Unfortunatelly the demise of Asia came with the dellusion of legal battles for the name with the British Pop-AOR Asia. The band legacy these days relies mostly on their cult masterpiece "Armed to the Teeth", released in 1980. An album that predates the Epic Progressive Metal genre later pursued by bands like Warlord and Dark Quarterer, but also pleases any Pomp/AOR/Prog Rock fan. The only Asia CD release dates back from 1995 on the Wild Places label, but since the CD edition is very sought after now, we decided to team up with band leader Mike Coates and repackage again the two albums on one CD, but this time with an even bigger booklet of 32 pages, where the full band history is presented, as well as the projects pre and post Asia, rare pictures and the lyrics to both albums.

Don and Karen (McCullough) Peris formed the innocence mission with school friend and bassist Mike Bitts while the three were students at the Catholic high school in their hometown, Lancaster Pa, where they still live. They released three albums with A and M Records before finding their way more clearly with Birds of My Neighborhood (1999 RCA), the first of eight self -produced albums. Though grateful for the countless kind listeners they met with while touring for earlier albums, Don and Karen Peris made a decision after Birds to devote themselves to raising their two children and to continue communicating from home with the indy albums that followed, including Befriended (2003), We Walked in Song (2006), and My Room in the Trees (2010). Otava Yo was formed by Alexey Belkin, Alexey Skosirev and Dmitry Shikhardin in 2004. For inspiration they turned to Russian folk songs - not to the very old ones, but to recent songs and tunes which were popular when their parents were young. After working on its "Russian beat" concept for three years the band released a new album, "Once Upon a Time." For fun, Otava Yo bases its image on the stereotype of the real Russian man. Witty song introductions emerged with the music, livening up already energetic performances. The band is very popular in its home city of St. Petersburg, playing some 80 concerts a year at various venues and events. 2010 was specially successful - Otava Yo played at several well known European folk festivals, breaking records in festival CD sales and meeting the president of Estonia, made its first music video, and and produced a play based on Russian Christmas songs, which will soon be released on an album as well.
